TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF THE LEGAL ASSISTANCE SERVICE

a.Parties in the agreement
The agreement is between the company, viz Prudent Legal SA, a trading name of LAWNET LEGAL SERVICES (Reg…) and the client only. A spouse of the client is not covered, but minor children are covered.

b. Waiting Period
Six months waiting period applies.

c.Right of Client to Legal Service.

Prudent Legal offers legal assistance online or by telephone. Personal or face to face consultation is between the client and the lawyer assigned for the case.

Legal service means consultation with a qualified attorney or advocate. This right to consult is of course dependent on the client’s payment obligation being up to date.

d. Consultation Procedure
The client has to inform the company of his or her intention to consult a lawyer and provide reasons thereof. A client may not directly consult a lawyer without informing the company.

e. Legal Consultants

The company does not pre-exist agreement with any particular attorney or lawyer. Thus, clients are afforded opportunity to consult any attorney, acceptable to both parties subject to cost implications.

f. Client’s Monthly Payment Obligation

Payment is by means of debit order, which sends the client a message each month to allow the deduction to be affected.
However, if for any reason debit order is unable to be affected, or the client has to make a once-off payment, then the client can make Eletronic transfer and send update message to company.

g. Cancellation

The client reserved the right to cancel the contract if he or she decides.
The company will not unilaterally cancel the agreement if the client is unable to pay monthly dues on account of loss of income, provided the company has been duly notified. Minimum annual premium applies in such a case.
However, the company may cancel the contract if the client misleads or misuses the plan for gain or for illegal purposes.

h. Limitations and exclusions

The main purpose of the plan is to provide legal service or assistance for personal rights, therefore assistance on registration of property and commercial business activities are excluded.
Similarly, and perhaps most importantly, assistance shall not be provided for serious crimes charges.
